Acropolis of Athens Travel Tour | Hiking in Ancient Athens, Greece

Acropolis of Athens is the symbol of the ancient Greek culture and one of the most famous ancient archaeological sites in the world.

You can take a tour or wander up there yourself. The best time to go up there is late in the day. We got there at around 3pm and there was no queue at the ticket booth and not many people were at the site.

Standard ticket costs €20. You can buy the ticket at the main entrance.

Entry to the Acropolis gives you access to the ancient citadel.

You can travel to Athens downtown by Taxi, Bus, and Metro. It takes 40-50 minutes from Athens International Airport to Athens Downtown.

For us, we took a private transfer from the hotel to downtown and going back.
